In 1879, Blooming Nakanishi & Company was founded in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, as a dealer of imported western variety goods. In early days, Handkerchiefs, gloves, and umbrellas gained popularity as the lead of civilization and enlightenment. Later, we started manufacturing original textile products. The products, such as handkerchiefs, scarfs and tablecloths, were an essential aspect to modernisation in Japan. 140 years of our history have brought us the soil of “craftmanship”.

Everywhere within and outside of Japan, various techniques have developed with close connection with local living of each area. The techniques include weaving, dyeing, printing, sewing and so on. We have built up collaborative relationships with those high quality factories, through the days. With our know-hows built during the years, we choose most appropriate factories to meet clients needs, and offer total quality control.
